THE SAKINA CIRCLE ✴︎
Building Sisterhood Through Faith and Reflection
-
What We Are.
The Sakina Circle is a grassroots initiative designed to provide young Muslim women with a consistent space for spiritual reflection, learning, and connection. Rooted in gentleness, sincerity, and a shared love for the Deen, the circle focuses on fostering a meaningful relationship with Islam through community.
-
How We Began.
Born out of a need for post-grad sisterhood and accessible faith-based spaces, The Sakina Circle started after a single conversation at Jummah. Since then, it has grown into a steady weekly gathering of 15–20 women, guided by relevant, beginner-friendly content developed in consultation with local scholars.
-
What We Do.
Each session includes Qur’an-based reflection, group discussion, and space for open questions. Slides are shared weekly, and any unanswered questions are brought to the masjid’s sheikh for follow-up. Outside the circle, we host outings, potlucks, and community moments that extend the sisterhood beyond the masjid.
